Back to Hymns and Prayers to the God.
In a forest of rich greens, I walked among the undergrowths To bend down and touch your feet there, But what I found Were flowers of every color. On a busy city sidewalk, I moved among the hurrying crowds To listen for your voice there, But what I found Were buskers, daring to make their dreams real. While visiting in a hospital, I walked through the corridors To watch for your hands there, But what I found Were human beings, struggling for wholeness. On an open country road, I walked toward the sun To look for your face there, But what I found Was light, too intense for me to receive. Apollo, you are too large To be found in this world. Too large. -- Jane Calderin, 2002
